Remembrance day is just around the corner and with it comes the time for us to honour the brave soldiers that we have lost on battlefields. From France all the way to Afghanistan we take time to think of those who have given up everything so that we may live the lifestyle we
But what about those we lose to the invisible wounds of war? Suicide and other mental health related deaths are due to the damage caused by war yet rarely acknowledge the deaths as such. We often do not
acknowledge those deaths.
This year we are working to change that. We have created a pin which is meant to be worn on Remembrance day, or any day, to honour those we have lost, and continue to lose, even long after their physical war has ended. The pin was created after the song “Lanterns”, as a way to show support for the issue of mental health and suicide plaguing our veteran
